SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Book design for The Summer Isles nominated for industry award

We are very pleased to announce that our book design for The Summer Isles has been entered into the 2005 Chicago Book Clinic Book and Media Show. This annual conference is an awards ceremony in an "Academy Awards" format, complete with multimedia presentation and banquet, recognizing the best works of the publishing community in the midwestern United States. Several hundred publishing industry professionals typically attend the November event.

A press release put out by the Chicago Book Clinic says this: "The goal is to demonstrate the outstanding quality of publishing in the Midwest and to recognize the importance of books (or book design) and multimedia in our society."

The Summer Isles was nominated for this award by our printer, McNaughton & Gunn, after they began receiving comments about the book. The book is currently being displayed in their offices just outside Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Nominated books must have been published in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, or Wisconsin. The Summer Isles is eligible because it was printed in Michigan.
