We package our books and other merchandise in a way designed to protect against damage, and we inspect each item before sending it to you to ensure it is in excellent condition.

Should a package arrive from us and its contents are damaged (for example, if it's a book, the book you receive does not look like a book from your local bookstore bookshelf), please let us know us right away, taking care to describe the damage, by email or if email is not available to you, by mail at P.O. Box 30788, Charleston, SC 29417. We'll need you to also quickly (within the same week of you notifying us) send the book back to us using the same form of mail and in the original package we used to send it to you.

As soon as we receive your package we'll inspect it for the specified damage, and if found we'll immediately send you a replacement item along with a check for your expense in shipping the damaged item back to us and a coupon or other item for your trouble.

However, please note that if the item arrives and it is not damaged, we will mail it back to you with a note explaining we did not find the specified damage, and the shipping cost you paid to send it back to us will not be refunded. There is a two-incident limit for this kind of occurence; after that, we will not be able to fulfill orders from you but instead will ask you to please order our books from another source.

We do reserve the right to take similar action should a specific customer consistently receive damaged packages (e.g. it appears that a customer may be, for whatever reason, damaging the received items themselves). This may seem bizarre, we realize, but there are some horror stories inside the industry as to incidents such as these.
